Walking is a uniquely human activity and every individual's way of walking is uniquely theirs. In this series we'll explore movement patters that may...

  • Improve your enjoyment of walking.
  • Organize your core for more effortless and balanced walking.
  • Give you specific things to do while walking when things feel "off" or you experience pain (feet, knees, hips, back).
  • Allow you to experience more freedom to move, perhaps putting a bit more spring in your step, just in time for spring!

Subtle Series

Working with breath, image and small movement to evoke huge change

Wednesdays
12:30-1:30 PM

Online

This series meets 7 Wednesdays (4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22).

There are many times when a subtle, refined, small intervention is much more potent than a large, gross intervention. There are also times when larger movements are beyond what your energy tank can support.

This series will allow you to experience the "magic" of Feldenkrais in a whole new way! As the title of this class suggests, these classes will involve a more subtle and refined way of working with your self. Classes will utilize breathing, images and small (even smaller than usual) movements. Possible benefits include:

  • Better breathing
  • Better balance
  • Integration of the right and left sides of your body
  • An improved sense of your middle / core and an ability to move from there
  • An appreciation for the amazing capacity of your body to re-organize itself
